Everyone loves seeing new parts of the world and I for one enjoy travelling. It’s a great way to experience the various places in the world.

Not for once have I ever thought about going on a cruise, as I normally pick a place where there are yellow sands, blue skies, palm trees and hot temperatures…but recently I went on a trip that was very different to what I’d experienced before – A Cruise.

If I had one word to describe the cruise I went on it would be – surreal.

What was surreal about it was that there I was in a hot Jacuzzi in the middle of the Mediterranean sea and couldn’t see land for a far as my eyes would take me – breath-taking!

The recent trip I went on was with one of the most amazing cruise companies that exist ‘The Royal Caribbean’ on their ‘Independence of the Sea’s’ ship – and what a ship it was!

Although the group of travellers on the ship were of a slightly older generation than we’d expected, once we’d explored the ship and seen what it had to offer it didn’t seem to matter. There was so much to do that there wasn’t really time to get bored. The ship stopped at various ports most days giving guests the opportunity to experience the scenery and sites. This is what I enjoyed the most – that you could indulge in luxuries on the ship and get off at various posts too and visit lots of different places.

The ship has everything you would want on a luxury holiday, an amazing gym, luxurious spa, various swimming pools, jacuzzi’s, a rock climbing wall, a wind surfing experience, a night club, a casino, a theatre, an ice rink, different shows on every night, a champagne bar and so many different places to dine at that you were actually spoilt for choice! The food was amazing in every single restaurant we dined and there really was something for everyone.
