Ranveer Singh’s bad-cop-turned-good-cop persona is sure to garner hoots and cheers.

The trailer of Simmba, starring Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan, has arrived, beating the Monday blues in style with a power-packed preview of the film!

Ajay Devgn (who played the eponymous character in Rohit Shetty’s Singham films) takes the onus of introducing Simmba, the protagonist of Rohit Shetty’s new film. Ajay Devgn makes an appearance as Bajirao Singham at the start of the trailer to hint that while he was cleansing Shivgarh (a village on the Goa-Maharashtra border in India), a young boy was embracing dreams of becoming a cop. But there is a twist in this tale – Sangram Bhalerao’s (Simmba) ideals are in contrast to Singham’s honour.

However, Bhalerao transforms into a more responsible police officer as the trailer progresses and the bad-cop-turned-good-cop persona is sure to generate cheers and excitement with the fans. The changed Sangram Bhalerao wages war against the rapists of Shivgarh, who tormented one of his most loved ones. As Simmba (Ranveer Singh) and villainous Vikrant Kadam (played by Sonu Sood) part ways, the trailer reaches its climax with Ranveer being gagged by Sonu Sood’s men. But the trailer ends with a tantalising glimpse of Singham to the rescue, leaving fans wanting more.

The Simmba trailer also offers glimpses of Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan’s onscreen romance sure to delight fans worldwide.

Ranveer Singh shared the trailer on his official Twitter account.

Directed by Rohit Shetty, Simmba is all set to hit screens on 28 December. Simmba marks Ranveer Singh’s first film with the director and is also Sara Ali Khan’s second appearance in a Bollywood film.
