Bollywood actress Manisha Koirala has been admitted into Mumbai's Jaslok Hospital and is believed to be undergoing treatment. Reports suggest that the Nepal-born actress could be suffering from cancer.

A spokesperson at Jaslok told the media that the 42-year-old actress was undergoing some medical tests and would stay in the hospital for at least a few days more. However, they refused to confirm the nature of her illness.

On a social networking site, Manisha recently wrote that she was suffering from food poisoning.

However, her health deteriorated further and she reportedly collapsed, after which she was rushed back to Mumbai for more tests.

The Bolllywood actress made her debut with Subhash Ghai's 1991 hit Saudagar and later shot to superstardom in the 90s with films such as Bombay, Agnisakshi, Dil Se, Khamoshi, Mann and 1942- A Love Story.

Her career however did take a turn for the worse and after a successful stint in Bollywood for about a decade, her career became somewhat stagnant.

Manisha recently tried an unsuccessful comeback with Ram Gopal Varma's Bhoot Returns.
