When PBN aka Heps and his management planned the launch party for the release of the album ‘Me, My & Music’ he probably never expected he was not only celebrating the launch of the album but also the fact that it had already claimed the Number 1 stop on the official Itunes world album chart in 24 hours.

Ikonz was invited along to the launch at the Tower Ball Room in Birmingham. The VIP area was surrounded by the big names within the Bhangra industry, including the likes of PBN himself, Malkit Singh, Jassi Sidhu, Shin & the DCS boys, H Dhami, Bups Saggu, Sunny & Shay Grewal, Dipps Bhamrah, JK and many, many more.

Ikonz wished PBN aka Heps a huge ‘Congrats’ on the release and hitting the number 1 stop. To which Heps quite modestly replied, ‘I’m just doing my thing, it’s all thanks to the man up there.’ Heps was definitely the man of the night, fans who come to the night were all eager to grab a snap with the music producer. Again a huge Congratulations to Heps, from all the Ikonz Team!

The lovely Sunny & Shay Grewal spoke to Ikonz too, and we have to admit this is the first time we’ve actually had a real chance to talk to the couple. They were so friendly, lovely and fun. Sunny told us all about their current projects and said since the Channel 4 TV show ‘The Family’ had finished they have been really busy working and are enjoying life.

Malkit Singh was as always a real joy to speak to and was even wearing matching white and black attire like Ikonz editor Reena Combo, so shared a good giggle with us. Malkit Singh said he had been busy gigging in the UK and abroad and was working on some big things for 2012.

We also grabbed Shin for a quick chat who said he had been busy with the tour of the musical play ‘Britain’s Got Bhangra’, said he was loving the response for the play; especially the fact that so many non –Asians had loved the production. Shin who has featured on PBN’s album on the track ‘Saddi Gal Hor’, for which the video is currently being aired said he was happy the track had been appreciated so well and enjoyed making the video for the track.

Jassi Sidhu spoke to us minutes before going on stage for his performance at the launch party. Jassi who has worked with Heps for his own album too said he had been crazily busy touring the UK, India, US, Canada etc since the release of his album, ‘Singing Between the Lines’.  

All the artists who performed on the night gave great performances and were there to support PBN on the release of his new albums and by taking the Number 1 spot so quickly he definitely proved he was the ‘Hitmaker’….Well Done Heps!
