While successful sister Shilpa Shetty has taken a back seat from Bollywood to enjoy her present role as wife and home-maker, her actress sister Shamita Shetty has also decided to quit. Shamita who has failed as an actress in B-town, last seen in Anubhav Sinha's ‘Cash’ in 2007 has decided to make an alternative career turn and study interior design. She will be moving to London to study a course in interior design for six months.

Shilpa spoke about her sister’s decision "Shamita is now entering another phase in her life and career. She is now heading to London for a six-month course in interior designing. We all felt this was the right move for her to make."

Shamita Shetty made her debut in Bollywood with Yash Raj’s blockbuster ‘Mohabbetien’ but hasn’t been able to impress or find a foothold with her other films. During the ten years of her career as an actress she has also worked in a few Tamil and Telgu films and found success with catchy item numbers including ‘Sharara Sharara’ in Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai (2001) and ‘Chori Pe Chori’ in Saathiya (2002).

Seems the Shetty sisters won’t be seen for a while in B-town as Shamita leaves for London soon, Shilpa has no immediate plans to sign any new movies.

“At the moment, I’m playing the most satisfying role of my life-that of an house-wife. Films were never the be-all-end-all of my life. Right now I find the idea of looking after my home far more exciting and challenging then rushing off to studios early morning”. said Shilpa, who rose to international fame after winning Celebrity Big Brother.
