Evergreen Bollywood actor Dev Anand sadly passed away at the age of 88 whilst suffering from a cardiac arrest in the UK. The actor died at a hotel in London on Saturday 3rd of December 2011 after a heart attack, ironically it is believed the actor had been in the UK for medical checks.
The legendary actor’s death was confirmed by his family. Bollywood star Dev Anand, had been a charismatic and flamboyant Indian film fixture for more than a half-century.
The actor was famous for great roles in dozens of movies, including "Jewel Thief" and "Guide," the veteran actor, director and producer was working up to the last minute, with a new script in the works, which sadly may have been left incomplete.
Anand lived and died on "his own terms," his nephew and renowned film director Shekhar Kapur said on his Twitter page. "He was working one minute. Sat down and smiled. And was gone the next. So much to learn."
