Yes you've heard right! Garry Sandhu is home with his family…in the UK.

Bhangra singer Garry Sandhu was reported to have been detained by police in Handsworth, Birmingham on the 27th October. A source confirmed to Ikonz that the UK Border Agency confirmed this after discovering he had been living in the UK illegally and rumours suggest he may face deportation back to India on the 1st November. Numerous stories have been circulating so we're trying to keep Garry fans updated below as much as possible. Updates below:
Garry Sandhu is believed to have been living in the UK illegally after not fulfilling his right to live in the UK, and may now face deportation back to his home-country India.
A Statement from Toby Allanson at the UK Border Agency Says:
“We can confirm an Indian national was detained yesterday in the West Midlands area. When someone is found not to have a right to remain in the UK, we expect them to leave voluntarily. If they fail to do so, we will seek to enforce their removal.”
Sources have also claimed that it was in fact another UK bhangra artist who had 'dobbed' the the singer in, but this is yet to be confirmed.
The singer who ironically sang the song 'Fresh' has been living in the UK for about 10 years now.
Garry Sandhu fans will no doubt be dissapointed by hearing this news….Ikonz will keep you posted….

Garry Sandhu has released this statement:
“After recent false accusations made against me, I still continue to do what I love best in providing the fans that I love dearly with my music. I can not control peoples actions and I am at the top of my game expect haters to hate, but in the end the truth sets any man free! And this is what you will see in the coming days. For I cannot lie to those I love or to my fans they are most important in my life! As an individual I was taught to be cautious now after allowing negative people into my life, that have taken advantage. Thank you for those who have supported me and I will not stop doing what I enjoy!!! Love you all and be safe.”

A number of rumours are still circulating and it seems Garry's fans still remain loyal and are hoping for the best for him. Whatever has happened no one knows the real reasons or what his situation was so no one can judge….we'll keep you posted if we hear anything further. Ikonz Team.

Rumours are now circulating that Garry Sandhu will be released tomorrow and may not in fact be deported back to India…there are number of rumours doing the circuit as to what has really happened but since we have no official word from Garry's camp we cant speculate further.
We just hope Garry's fans continue to support him and his music and keep an open mind until we know the facts. Ikonz Team

Just been informed that a decision on Garry Sandhu's situation by the UK Border Agency will be made tomorrow (Tuesday). I've been informed paperwork is being submitted today….again these are just rumours we're hearing via the grapevine….let's hope Garry stays in the UK and continues making great music for Bhangra fans….Ikonz Team
UPDATE: (TUESDAY 11.45am):
Ikonz has just spoken to the UK Border Agency and they have said at the moment they have no further information to provide us regarding Garry Sandhu. However we did ask if Garry was being deported back to India today and they have said not 'no not today', and will 'release a statement within the next few days regarding his status'. At this stage it seems unclear as to whether or not the UKBA intend to send Garry back, however from the conversation we've just had it did seem likely still….we do hope this is not the case and the press officer was just being cautious in what he was saying to us.
There are rumours that Garry was booked on a flight to return to India today, but UKBA have told Ikonz that is not the case. For now that's all the information we have….watch this space. Ikonz Team

Although the UK Border Agency told us earlier Garry Sandhu will not be returning to India today, we are hearing differently….further updates expected here at Ikonz World later today.

Numerous rumours circulating…we hear Garry Sandhu is at the airport, however it's believed he hasn't got on the flight just yet and may be staying in the UK…we're bringing you the news as we get it. Any reports you are hearing now are just speculation….update very soon!

GARRY SANDHU IS STAYING IN THE UK! Other media may have reported he was going back to India minutes ago, however we can confirm GARRY SANDHU IS STAYING!! Garry Sandhu has been discharged by the UKBA and his case is now being reviewed! We're well chuffed & we reckon his fans will be too!

We've been inundated with emails and messages via twitter and facebook for a further update, so here you go. The Home Office is insisting Garry Sandhu is still in custody and will be until his case has been reviewed further. Many people are saying Garry has been released, but this is not the case. Yes it is true he did not leave to go back to India on Tuesday as rumoured on a flight from Heathrow, however his right to stay in the UK is still being questioned. The law in the UK is that if someone is found to be living illegally in the UK and does not voluntarily return back to their country then they are not allowed to return to the UK for 10 years. If he faces deportation by the UKBA then this will be the case…this is all the information we can provide at the moment….It does seem likely however that Garry may have to return to India very soon….Ikonz Team.

Ikonz have just spoken to the UK Border Agency to get an update regarding Garry Sandhu. We have been informed the situation with Garry still remains the same and he is still under review.
Garry Sandhu has submitted a review which is currently being assessed and looked over….until then a decision cannot be made. Sources claim the chances are still high that Garry Sandhu will be removed from the UK soon. Ikonz Team.

Garry Sandhu fans and supporters will be extremely happy to know Garry Sandhu is no longer being detained and is at home with his family in THE UK! The good news came straight from Garry himself when he wrote on his official facebook page saying,
"thanks 2 all u ppl out ther due to ur love n support i am home wid my mum n dad and appericating my freedom without u guys , this would not have been possible … see u all soon garry sandhu …. love u allllllllllllllllllllll"

A UK Border Agency spokesperson said:
“Garry Sandhu has no right to be in the UK. He has been temporarily released on immigration bail while we consider further legal representations. When someone is found not to have a right to remain in the UK, we expect them to leave voluntarily. If they fail to do so, we will seek to enforce their removal.”
