Well here at Ikonz World we've been in musical heaven for the past week. It seems April 2012 is being known for the month of amazing live UK concerts in the Asian music industry. The likes of Satinder Sartaaj, Kailash Kher, Adnan Sami & Rahet Fateh Ali Khan have all touched down in the UK and are touring various cities up and down the country.

We were lucky enough to be personally invited to 2 brilliant concerts this past week – Satinder Sartaaj and Kailash Kher.

On Saturday 30th March we went off to the ICC in Birmingham to see Satinder Sartaaj. Sartaaj once again took his fans on a musical journey of poetry and sufi. The Birmingham show was the first of many for Sartaaj who is on his UK tour. I caught up with him on a private visit to Wolverhampton courtesy of football organisation Punjabi Wolves on Thursday 5th April 2012.

Sartaaj visited a local Gurdwara in Wolverhampton, the Wolves Football Training grounds, University of Wolverhampton and the Childrens Ward at New Cross hospital to give out Easter eggs to the poorly children there.

The second concert Ikonz was invited to, was that of Kailash Kher's at the Symphony Hall in Birmingham. Now, this was a first for us as we'd never seen Kailash Ji perform live before and what an experience this was! Kailash Kher was an amazing performer. He was vocally incredible, had a great rapport with his band, interacted perfectly with the audience and had a brilliant sense of humour. What an extremely talented man!

Kailash Kher seems to have this intoxicating presence on stage and I simply didnt want the show to end. He was brilliant and if you haven't caught any of his shows yet, then I strongly recommend you do – you wont be disappointed I promise you!
